In collaboration with poets from the University of South Carolina and the Moving Images Research Department, Patterns in Motion will feature several pieces of classical chamber music paired with poetry written by Columbia-based poets. Hoping to further the revolution that surrounds classical chamber music, this event looks to share a new listening opportunity enhanced by poetry, video, and other media.

The 2018-2019 Spark Collective is a graduate chamber quintet with a unique instrumentation: flute, saxophone, french horn, piano and percussion. The collective is a collaborative, multi-genre ensemble that focuses on presenting innovative and engaging performances for diverse audiences.

Join flutist Sabrina Raber and special guests, the Spark Collective, as they perform a set of traditionally classical works in a nontraditional venue - Columbia Craft Brewery.
